(June 28, 2009) Welcome back for more updates from Midnight Horizon Comics and the gang at Highburn Studios. We just returned from Heroes con in Charlotte, NC last week and had a blast there. The show did well and for the first time in many years carried itself without any television or movie celebrities. We have been busy getting books ready for your reading pleasure. Tribulations issue 2 is under wraps and awaiting to go to press. This is a turning point in the life of Monument that you don't want to miss. Creator and artist Lyle Pollard has poured his heart and soul into this book and it definitely shows. Also in the works is Horrific Tales Anthology book 2 also coming this October. We are currently still taking submissions but space is already limited. See our add below for details on submitting your story and art. That wraps things up for now. Until next time, see ya! -Kenny

Michael Watkins is currently revamping Guardians while he continues to do Pro color work for various companies. As for myself, the Slayer re-launch is still in progress and starting to pick up steam again after being on hiatus. (Dec. 23, 2008) Happy holidays to all of you comic book junkies! Kenny here, with a quick update for you. To your left is a sneak peak of the inked version for the cover of Ruthless #1. Look for more updates on this next month. The second issue of Tribulations is on the way with more great story and pencils by Lyle Pollard with the new addition of inks by Peter Palmiotti and is currently being flatted by Lyle with the first three pages already being sent to Mike Watkins to throw down some amazing colors. The new series of stories involving the cast of Tribulations, Nova City Stories is moving along quite well. We want to welcome Ryan Eldridge aboard as the writer of the book. He and Lyle have truly crafted a masterpiece in this story. Also in the world of the Guardians. Artist and creator Mike Watkins has recently tapped Todd Davis as the new scribe of the series, they are in the plotting stages now and should have a new volume with a new issue 1 out sometime during the beginnings of 2009. Todd also has a new story Remember Tomorrow in the works with pencils by Mike as well. That about wraps it up for now. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holidays. -Kenny

(Oct. 2, 2008) We have all lately been talking about the future of both Highburn Studios and Midnight Horizon Comics, so we have fully merged to forgo any more confusion. All the books from here out will be published from Midnight Horizon except for Guardians which will stay with Dakuwaka Publishing. This will not change any of the books in terms of quality. The main reason is to focus Highburn as a studio in the comics field so that artists and writers here will be able to move around on projects as well as have a safe workhaven. The only major change will be Kenny is handling publishing books and I will be handling working with and training artists. That's all for now so until next time. -Michael
